iServi News | 28 August 2024 | Term 3, Week 7
We’re halfway through the term, and what a fantastic term it has been! There’s been so much happening around the school, from community events to student opportunities, and visits from other schools. It’s clear that ²ÝÝ®×ÊÔ´ is buzzing with energy and purpose.
Last week was particularly special for all of us. We celebrated the Feast Day of St Philip, with a whole school mass, followed by Servite Day, which is always a highlight of the year. Servite Day was filled with joy and a strong sense of community, reminding us of the values that bind us together. We were also honoured to have Archbishop Timothy Costelloe visit us on Friday and speak to all staff. His presence added an extra layer of significance to our celebrations, and we’re grateful for the wisdom and encouragement he shared with our community.
Australian Education Awards
²ÝÝ®×ÊÔ´ continues to shine and grow. Just two weeks ago, I had the privilege of representing our school at the Australian Education Awards, where Servite was recognised as a finalist for our innovative in curriculum for the Nannup program. This is a huge acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication of our staff, students, and families. It reinforces our commitment to providing exceptional opportunities and environments for our students, always with their growth and ²ÝÝ®×ÊÔ´ in the forefront of everything we do.
Masterplan – update
In terms of developments, I’m excited to share that our Masterplan is moving along beautifully. The sporting fields are well on their way and right on schedule. These new facilities will be a fantastic addition to our school, giving our students even more opportunities to engage in physical activity.
Italy Study Tour 2025
We’re also in the midst of selecting our students for our brand new Italy Study Tour. This tour is an incredible opportunity for our Year 11 and Year 12 language students to immerse themselves in Italian culture and language. It’s a chance to learn in a completely different environment where our students can thrive.
Another exciting update is that we’ve kicked off the process of choosing our student leaders for 2025. This is an important time for our Year 11 students as they step up to take on leadership roles. We wish all the applicants the best of luck and are excited to see the leadership team that emerges to guide us into the future.
